| As a responsible manufacturer, MDC naturally believes that conservation of our environment is of paramount importance. |
| Our environmental policy therefore: |
- Encourages good forest management from our timber suppliers wherever possible.
- Reduces waste by maximising the use of raw timber in the construction of our products.
- Uses timber substitutes such as medium density fibreboard (MDF) wherever possible, without reducing the performance or appearance of our products.
- Has resulted in a reduction of solvent use during the manufacturing process, by switching to water based stains and paints, where possible.
